Installation Instructions
As with any of our products we believe in offering our customers complete support. That is why we have put together what we believe to be a good template to help assist you in your installation. Please bear in mind that not all installations are going to be exactly the same. Different vehicles will require a slightly different approach, however the basic ideas are the same. After looking over our instructions, you may find that you have a different idea in mind for your particular vehicle. If this is the case, please let us know so that we may share it with others. Our instructions are what we found works best for us. Please note that we assumes no responsibility for any damage that may occur during the course of your installation.  As always, we will be happy to assist you in any way we can.

Custom Bending of the Mounting Bracket
Need help in bending the bracket? This is usually the most difficult part of the installation. Clean and accurate bends are what make a quality installation. This task requires specialized equipment. We can bend the mounting bracket for the Secure Gear Shift Lock to your specifications. Please note that while this is not a complex process, exact measurements are required!! In order to simplify the task, we can provide you a cardboard template so that you can position the bracket accordingly. The cardboard template is of the same size and shape as the metal mounting bracket. Attach the lock assembly to the cardboard template and determine the correct dimensions. You can then transfer the corresponding measurements to a sheet of paper.  Fax or email us the outline and we will bend the bracket accordingly. In most cases, the first bend will be at a right angle to the housing. Additional smaller bends may be required to follow the contour of the body. Some trimming of the overall length of the bracket may be required. This can be done with a hacksaw or any similar tool. Again, much of this depends on the location where the lock will be installed.
